Finally I am back from my sister in laws wedding and after getting praise from many family members for reducing my post pregnancy weight, now I am all excited to talk about it.
For almost past one year, I have tried various forms of exercising like Yoga, Brisk Walk, Treadmill running, Aerobics etc. I used to start in full enthusiasm only to break up the routine due to various reasons and finally think that it is not possible to lose weight for me. This has become a vicious circle of me getting frustrated in the end with almost ‘NO’ weight loss or little weight loss which would revert back very soon.
Until one day I realized the root cause of my failure was nothing but my IRRegular routine and I needed to prioritize my work ‘To Be Regular’ with my exercise routine (that means allowing only a days rest per week). To begin with I started with 1 hour of Brisk Walk. To do so I had to overcome some of my reasons for being irregular like work schedule, No Time(god knows where all the time flies off), family needs, body ache, fatigue, and what not.
First, to tackle No Time and work schedule issues I used 2 approaches:
1. Now exercise was one of the top things in my daily work list, that means less important things had to wait. I had set up a fixed time for my exercise, that is early morning 6:00 a.m. when most of the world sleeps and I get all the time for myself without any disturbances.
2. Incase I was not able to follow the morning schedule, for those days I would become the Tom Hanks from movie “Forest Gump” going by the principle “You have to do the best with what God gave you“. On those days whenever I would find time I would start my brisk walk wherever I was, thus completing my target of 1 hour of brisk walk maybe in 2-3 slots. The point here was to find whatever little time I have to reach my goal rather than sit and crib about it.
Second, to tackle Body ache and fatigue issues I used home remedies:
1. I used hot water baths and oil massages. That really helps a lot to relax your muscle and ease down the fatigue. Proper moisturization of the skin is also essential to prevent stretch marks from exercising.
2. I also added lot of fresh juices to my diet to get that extra energy and overcome fatigue to steer through the day. Without them I would become I zombie who would sleep through the day after exercising. These symptoms would definitely cease after you become regular with exercise.
